The 6As of Blanchland project has planned archaeological investigations taking place over the weekend of 11th and 12th October.
There will be geophysics surveys being done in the field to the east of the village (out the back of the Lord Crewe carpark), and some core samples being taken in the fishponds in the woods above Clapp Shaw.
This is all part of the research we’re doing to gather information for the next phase of the project.
The Lord Crewe Charity has granted permission and we have notified the tenants via Savills.
